he post-KOF years brought the era of Pepperell contests: informal, fun contests held in an industrial park's parking lot in Pepperell, Massachusetts (along the New Hampshire border). They were damn fun, but the weather rarely cooperated. It seems like half of the contests had to be postponed due to rain -- co-organizer Dave Muggleston joked that he should schedule the contests in the desert so he could make money bringing rain. When it DIDN'T rain, it was usually unbelievably hot. Such is New England weather.
