Anyway, it could be a lot worse. I mean, I could live in Canada. Plus, there are plenty of places to ride indoors around here, and even though I like to complain about them, most of them are really fun.
Also, stuff seems to be popping up all the time. I had some great sessions at the new Southbridge park after Kieran gave me directions. The locals out there rip, and are totally fun to ride with. I went to Dick's the other day and there was an ad on the counter for a new indoor six-foot mini in Randolph that has bike nights on Wednesday and Saturday. That's fine with me, too. And, I found a parking garage with metal flat bars all over the place in there. Cold, but dry.

Remember the icepick scene in Basic Instinct? Mike Rotondo's probably not thinking about Sharon Stone here.

So, BMX trudges right along again this year. That's just the way things are. If you love to do something you will always find a way to do it. I saw some amazing stuff this winter including Max's gap from the hip in the Skater Island street course into the bowl, Lino's fufanu on the popsicle stick railing behind the Southbridge mini, Garrett Byrnes shredding the big spine at the Incline Club, and Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
I can't wait for the spring, I'm inspired.
