To be totally honest, I had never heard of Hamilton, Ontario until a couple of years ago when a bunch of riders came down to a contest in New Jersey (Pergentiles, Old School Dan, John Findlay, etc.). Since that contest, I've managed to run into these guys all over the country. Including this occasion on their home turf. This jam is definitely Canada's version of the York Jam.
I don't know when the first jam happened but word traveled fast because at least 100 riders were there this past August (2004). They usually have a couple smaller jams and one big one each year. This was definitely the big one with a party the night before with Impaqued Video Magazine premier and after party pizza/beer fest. People traveled outrageous distances to get there as well. It was well worth it. Check it out if you can.
