Periodically I get email from people looking for product reviews on eWire; I also notice in the search logs that people want info on bikes and parts and such. Unfortunately if you're one of these people, you won't find any product reviews on eWire. There are several reasons for this:
- I don't know anything about parts; I don't know what's "hot" in the industry or what the new trend is in BMX bikes. (I'm not a 15-year-old BMX Plus reader...)
- I'm not the type of person who goes out and buys new stuff on a whim, changing frames every couple months. (But then again, I'm a flatlander, and bike tend to last longer...) I'm still riding a pretty old Hoffman Big Daddy (one of the best bikes ever made) and don't feel the need to "upgrade".
- I don't care about new frames or pegs or grips or chain tensioners. Unless something on my bike is broken, it probably doesn't need replacing.
- I don't have the money or time to buy and test out new products ... and I'm sure not going to review something I haven't tried. (eWire isn't a forum for bike company press releases.)
What you will find here are articles about people on their bikes (whatever kind), interviews, video and music reviews (I do buy videos and CDs semi-regularly), and stuff like that. If you are looking for bike product reviews, there are several riding sites that do have them. You might want to try these sites:
