Matt Cormier

Matt Cormier is one of New England's next-generation flatland riders. He's only been riding a few years now but has quickly developed a smooth brakeless style. In fact, watching Matt ride convinced me — normally anti-brakeless — that riding without brakes forces you to actually learn to do a trick, rather than learn to use the brakes to save yourself in it. I don't think I'll be taking off my brakes anytime soon, but it's nice to see that it works for other riders, even some young guys like Matt.
