I don't stay up late every night like I used to, so I don't get to see "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" very much. But thanks to the Web, I don't have to miss some of the great stuff they do on the show.
The site's a bit slow, thanks to tons and tons of graphics, so you're better off surfing it from work or school on a T1 connection...unless you're very patient with your 28.8 modem. Some of the better material on the Conan site include:
If They Mated, which ponders questions like "What if Rosie O'Donnell and her fantasy man Tom Cruise mated?" The results are absolutely hilarious, and a damn good use of Photoshop.
New stamps offered by the United Postal Service. My favorite set: "Sinbad as Great Americans".
Buried in the Back Pages shows seemingly unrelated newspaper headlines. For example, the front page headline reads "UFO Sighted Over Los Angeles"; a headline buried in the back pages: "Marlon Brando Buys Trampoline". Unrelated? Probably not...
Not everything works in Web format, however: In the Year 2000, for example, where they peer into the distant future (which is only 11 months away!), works much better on the TV show than it does here. You can also see some RealVideo clips from actual shows. There's a bunch of stuff here to keep you entertained for a while, and if you just can't get enough Conan, you can find links to other Conan sites as well.
