MP3.com's Worst of The Worst

MP3.com is supposed to be a great equalizer for musicians, allowing their music to be heard by people even if they didn't have a record contract or distributor. Unfortunately, many people who add to MP3.com aren't "musicians", resulting in a lot of crap on the site.

But where bad songs are merely a waste of time, truly horrible songs can be quite entertaining, sort of the equivalent of watching Plan 9 From Outer Space — you watch it because it's bad.

One user-created station on MP3 gathers The Worst of The Worst for your enjoyment. The commentary for each song is pretty funny, but it's the songs themselves that make this site great. Some of these songs are by people who truly think they're making great music; others can't be serious. All genres are covered: metal, gospel, dance, poetry — there's bad music all over the place.

Be sure not to miss:

• "War Iz On" (no-rhythm white boy trying to be Eminem)
• "The Ten Commandments" (with hilarious droning background vocals)
• "(I Wanna Be) Led Zeppelin" (rightfully earning its Toture Factor of 10)
• "Shakin' The House" (reallly cheesy Christian pop)
• "I'm a Flugnoid" (just plain bizarre)
